Mumbai Darshan…

25 06 2008

Well, this is my third back to back post here. I guess, I am on a posting spree now ;) .

So, as I said in the previous post, this one is about one of my roaming about journeys with my friends in my time in the civilization.

It was last Friday when I decided with some of my friends to go to Worli sea face just for spending some time. It was afternoon when we started our trip and almost evening when it actually started ;) .

All of us met at Dadar station and went by a bus to Worli. The ignorance to the instructions of the bus conductor and listening to those of some fellow traveler uncle landed us in a bus stop which was quite before our destination ;) . So, we decided to walk from there to the sea face. After about a few minutes walk from there we reached the sea face at last. Sat there for some time just watching the sea view and enjoying the bhel by the sea side. That was wonderful :) .

After spending some time, we decided to go to ATRIA mall which is there in Worli itself and so took a taxi and reached there. Going about the mall, we came to know that it was too much high classed and I thought it would be an insult to a shop if we entered it just for window shopping ;) . But, humlog nahi sudherenge! We entered A big Nike showroom just to check out all the official jerseys and other stuff kept there. Looking at the price, we ran away! ;) So, we then went to the food court to have something and thought of checking out the famous 4D theater over there. Even there just looking at the rate card stating a whooping Rs.300 for a movie show of 15 mins we ran out again. After this running out session from everywhere we ran out of the mall itself! ;) Yeah…. but we saw a black Rolls Royce Phantom in the showroom below the mall! :) (Aah… I think now you can guess…. kitne high class mall mein the humlog! ;) )

Coming out of the mall we thought of going to the Nehru Planetarium which is nearby the mall. We, were thinking of doing some timepass out there but so stupid of us to think that it would be open at 6.30 pm. (that’s not any hotel to be open all day long ;) ). So, again we were thinking about how to spend some more time as no one wanted to go home early! That is the time when some one of us came out with a brilliant idea!!

We were sitting beside a bus stop, when one of us said that we will, look at the destination boards of the coming BEST buses and then decide where to go. Just then we spotted a bus going to CST and we just hopped on in the bus and took tickets to CST. So, getting down at Dadar, going to Worli, we were now diverted to CST. But one more diversion was to come!

It was in the bus when I thought of an idea that if the bus was going to CST via Marine Drive, we could get down at BACHELORS ( the ice cream parlor and juice corner famous for its green chilli ice cream..). No, but the bus didn’t seem to go that way when again I spotted the Charni Road railway station and I knew that the BACHELORS was just behind the station. All of us again jumped out of the bus ( wasting the ticket money of about half of the journey ;) ) and crossed the station to reach the parlor. After having some good drink over there we then left to our respective homes!

So, that was my wonderful trip in this wonderful city!! :)

Apart from Euro!

25 06 2008

My last few posts were just about the Euro 2008 that’s going on. So, now I have thought of writing about something else as someone might think that I am just crazy about football and have no life apart from the idiot box ( like Saurabh :P ).

So as I have said before I am in civilization these days, so thus I am having a lot of fun :) . Its just happy time for me, as there is no work to do nor any submissions to think of (as though I have a really hectic schedule in college ;) ). Anyways, these days, as my friends doing engineering (yeah…. the actually “studying” lot of students :P ) have completed their exams and now are free of their cramming and “rattafication” work for a month, I have a chance of meeting them and spending some great time.

Thus, for the past few days, I have been busy in making plans, canceling plans, and working out the plans :) . Meeting up friends, watching movies, going places….. its all fun. So, actually I don’t sit in front of the TV all day long watching some crap… but I have some life too… ;)

My last week was nearly filled with all the plans of getting out and roaming with friends. I went to see some movies.

The first movie was Sarkar Raj which was a pretty good movie and I think I liked it.

The other one which me and my friends went to was Mere Baap Pehle Aap!!! BAAP RE BAAP!!! The worst movie of my life till now. It was the first movie of its kind which forced me to leave the theatre and run for my life!! I think that was the best way to waste our Rs. 90 per head! So, if you want the best way to waste your money, just go for this movie playing in a theatre near you… claiming its a WORLDWIDE HIT… But I tell you, its S**T! ;)

Now to get out of the trauma faced by us the previous day after wasting precious Rs. 90 over the crappiest movie made, we thought of going to another movie called Aamir! And yeah…. that was a really good movie. The wonderful portrayal of the subject makes it a must watch movie for all. Hence, that got us back from our trauma to our normal self. :)

The latest movie seen after that is Get Smart which I saw just this Monday and that is also a cool movie. Complete time pass. :)

So, this way, some of the plans of my past week are here. The other plans included meeting up with more of my friends ( whoa… I really have many friends… I am damn lucky I guess.. ;) ) and going roaming around eating in McDonalds and other costly food courts ;) .

I think this post is getting really long now, so I guess I’ll write about one of my journeys in the next post! ;)
